Don't waste your time with a Mustang unit. The throttle body from an 89-95 Thunderbird Supercoupe is the one you want. Even has the correct ball stud for the throttle cable.

An Explorer or '93 Cobra throttle body will be 65mm (Cobras cost a lot more). The Explorer t-bodies can be found cheap, and only take a few minutes to convert over to Fox use. I have an Explorer t-body on my car...65mm. I polished the inside after I removed any molding lines, and sharpened the blade (doubt tit made a difference, but I figured while I was in there....), I also rolled the edges (where the air enters) don like a trumpet. No air obstructions. I've seen them cost anywhere from $20 to $40.00. Not bad at all. Cheaper than aftermarket, and readily available.

First off, the Supercoupe unit is 60mm, and would flow enough air for about 400-425 horse. For a street/daily driven TC, there's simply no need for anyting larger. Plus, as already mentioned, it has the correct ball stud for the throttle cable, which the mustang/explorer unit will not have. All thats needed when running the SC unit is an offset bracket to move the throttle cable connection further back on the upper intake.
