Anybody recognize one of these? (hint: there's a test)
I just saw one at the collector car auction in Atlantic City...
Got one. ;)
I want one....
Got it from a friend who got it from a friend, along with some other car things. He thought I might be interested, otherwise it was going on ebay.
Now I need a (replacement) for the brochure that I threw away :slap:
Uh... neither. I'm willing to bet there are fewer than five people on this forum who've actually seen what I'm talking about.
For the 1986 model year, Ford commissioned a number of artists to do something artsy-fartsy with their line of cars, which Ford produced as a brochure and mailed to customers. The brochure had pictures of an Eddie Bauer edition Explorer, an EXP, a Taurus (maybe SHO, don't remember), and a few others. The picture for the Thunderbird used a Turbo Coupe and was based on Nighthawks (http://"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nighthawks"). If you can imagine the scene extended to the left with a black TC parked at the curb, you've got the idea of what it looked like.
If anyone has access to one of those brochures, please send me a PM.
86 eddie baur EXPLORER? Bronco 2 maybe.
Yeah, coulda been. It was one of those boxy truck things.
I've never seen one. Sounds cool. I'll check with the literature vendors this summer.
