I was playing around yesterday at the track and decided to install a Mustang TRX center on one of my 16 x 8's with 295-50-16 MT Street Radials to see how they look.
I am really happy with the 2500 satin finish. I've never had wheels with that type of finish before.
My T-Bird/Cougar TRX centers were finished with a highly polished look and some of you may remember those.
Anyway, I need to get on the ball and finish the fronts so I can get a whole car pic. :D

Those look great. How fast is the car going on the drag radials?
IIRC, you have the TRX centers machined out to fit sorta like hubcaps, right? Are they welded when finished, or bolted to the rim?
I would be interested in seeing some detailed pics of the centers separate from the rims. Great idea, and very clean finished product!
Great job, I'm interested to know how you did it to. They look great.
Yes, the centers are machined to fit inside the 16 x 8 wheel and are held on with an additional 4 lugs.
The testing I did 2 years ago on the T-Bird/Cougar TRXs showed that the 4 lugs retained all of the original torque, so I am confident these will do the same.
There is not any balance issues since the centers are balanced already.
I'll try to get pics with the centers out.. I should have snapped some when I had the centers out.
Wow, that looks great.
.
Well, it is my #1 bracket car so I have everything turned back for reliability reasons.
It currently runs 8's.
Thanks everyone for the compliments !!
I am really excited about getting the fronts done and finished this 3 year project.
