This is a Ford GT40 kit car that was originally made for a vw beetle by kellison. My dad bought it back when I was really young(late 80's?). He started the frame and got the engine and trans and suspension on it, but didnt really get much further than that. In 1989, he started a company so he never had time or money to work on it. He sold it about 14 years ago, and ran across it on craigslist this fall. The guy that bought it really didn't do much to it, and most of what he did, we redid, lol. Now its nearing completion and almost had it running yesterday, but the fuel pump isnt doing anything. What we thought was the fuel pump eccentric must not be because it isnt doing anything. BTW: Engine is a 500ci cadillac out of a 76 Eldorado, and we think it weighs somewhere less than 2400#.

Oh yeah, we didnt do the exhaust. We still have to redo that because its less than 2" pipe
Man! You get into some wild stuff!
Great story about your dad selling and picking it back up 14 years later.
I remember the kits. The Caddilac Eldo drivetrain is quite a change up.
It's gonna draw a crowd!
That thing is going to rip. Very cool project. One day I plan on doing something like this, probably one of the Shelby cobra kits.
That's pretty cool!
Interesting. How come everyone else has the fun jobs.....
What did you use for a transmission?
472/500ci eldorados were front wheel drive. Just using that automatic.
my jobs usually not fun in the summer. Building propane trucks is not my favorite thing to do, but the wintertime has its perks. Winter is usually DEAD with no work.
