Title: AOD Fluid Line Replacement
Post by: mtgmike on April 02, 2011, 12:03:19 AM
I had a very productive night getting the engine in and buttoned up. I noticed my fluid lines are all bent up and terrible looking now that the nice clean engine is in.

I found some replacement mustang lines, but I assume ours are a little longer due to the front end. I have seen a few guys use approved hose...

What have you guys done?

And can anyone post pics of where they mounted external coolers?

I plan on putting on a mark8 fan, fyi.

They are the same as 5.0 mustang. The engine bay and radiator are the same size and shapes.

Just about any 5.0 motor with aod should have the lines you need.

I had custom SS braided Teflon lines made with JIC fittings(No leaks here!), and just mounted the trans cooler in front of the ac condenser towards the bottom of the car, using the included plastic "bolts" that run through the fins and such. I just trimmed off the excess "bolt" on the other side of the radiator and it had plenty of clearance for my electric fan.

Not that cheap though, I have been contemplating selling it all since I swapped to a manual.
