For those of you who have consoles that are have broken shifter plate tabs, for whatever reason, (for me it was cause mine came that way...) I have the solution.
Pretty simple really. All you have to do is get your hands on a couple of those clips that tighten down like the kind in the radio panel brackets and stick em on there right where the holes are. If there's any amount of tab left they'll stick right on and then when you screw the top plate on it will tighten them down right there in place.

I like it. Did you see any tornadoes today?
Nice fix. Us guys who like cars with little/no aftermarket, have to be very crafty.
Nice I was thinking of something similar for my console when I finally install it(postponed till I find the bracket for by the stereo).
I've been doing that on the convertible for years...it's a good long-term solution. The clips will sometimes pop off but wrapping them in electrical tape keeps them from doing that too much.
I've been doing that, and making my own for years
Nope not here but about 45 mins away they had one. Wans't very defined but it definitely messed some sh*t up. Had some killer lightning though. And it rained for about 8 hrs today.
Ain't that the truth.
Glad I could help if I did.
Helped me I broke mine the first time I put it together in the car after the swap the shifter was to low and couldn't get in lower gears and in traffic I hastily removed boot and console cover. DOOOOOOO
Oh glad no twisters
gonna keep that in mind :D Thanks Steve!!
