Title: A/C Compressor to valve cover?-fixed, delete thread
Post by: mtgmike on March 30, 2011, 01:47:02 PM
Mine hits the cover and wont let me bolt in the compressor. Im using Mustang covers. Id hate to try to grind on one or the other and ruin something. I cant grind on the bracket, or Ill throw off the belt alignment.

?

We need a pic. Even with aftermarket covers, my compressor doesn't touch the valve cover. Plenty of room.

It just took a BFH, and screwdriver to bend the brackets into place. carry on.

I had the same issue with with the Ford Motorsport covers. IF you intend to keep the A/C like I did, you can lightly grind the comp and a do a light grind on the VC followed with a good buffing.

Glad you got it fixed. We've all been through it.
