Title: Transmission Cooler
Post by: Greg Price on March 21, 2011, 12:22:38 AM
I have been looking at an aluminum rad to replace my crusty old stock rad. The rad I want to get has no trans cooler inlets. Will I have any issues running a seperate trans cooler on a mostly stock engine? My concern would be the tranny fluid not getting to proper operating temperature.

You can get thermostats as well as filters to splice inline. Lots of people run a trans cooler with a stock engine/tranny combo.

Put a tranny cooler in front of the radiator and run the lines to it. I had my AOD like that for a long time.....or get a different radiator.
