I didnt know they were worth that much! If I remember correctly I have seen three of them in my local yard. I have the regular one and I didnt see any big deal in upgrading. These are supposed to be rare?

James

p.s. CougarSE, I own a 87 Bird as well  :D

The T-Bird/Cougar specific ones are quite rare. They have a green lens and the proper mounting brackets. If you're looking for "correct" stuff with minimal fuss during installation the T-Bird/Cougar part is the one you want.

The Grand Marquis/Crown Vic/LTD/Marquis units are far more common, but they have a smoked grey lens (results in a bluish-green display) and the wrong brackets. You can add the proper brackets by using the ones on your existing clock but it can be dicy - there is no room inside the unit for screws so you have to use very tiny ones and be very careful. Shawn (Tbird232ci) can vouch for that :D

You'll also have to make up a harness if using the non-T-Bird/Cougar unit.

Check out the "greatest hits (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=2638")" section for a tech article on the install

Is the $120 flexible now that the deadline has been missed or are you going to offer it on ebay?

Ebay seems to be the place to sell 'em, though I don't think you'll get $120 for it. I've seen T-Bird ones go for about $80 and CV/GM ones go for about $40. I got mine for $25, but the guy didn't know what he had - he was selling the whole lot of dash parts for $25. I bought it, told him to keep the rest of the parts and send me the clock. I've had ZERO luck finding them in boneyards - they must be rare in Canada.
