I don't believe it...
why?
sadly i have had some bad personal setbacks in my business over the last 2 years and i really need the $$ When faced with raiding retirement funds or giving her up, its really no choice at all. My wife and kids come first.....the deal is, if i can get my reserve asking price, i may end up with a Big block 429 70 cyclone spoiler clone as a project...we'll have to wait and see....the car has been up for all of 2 hours and is up to 5k already.....should be interesting to see where things end up.
Sorry to see you might be getting rid of it. I understand why but it still has to suck. The bid is getting up there, good luck with it.
$22,100.00 as of right now
You gotta do what ya gotta do, but knowing that probably doesn't make it hurt any less. Kudos for not taking away from the familia's future.
Good luck with the auction...hope you come out good on it and get things taken care of. Whoever ends up with the winning bid will have a hell of a beautiful car.
I hate for you having to sell it , but I sincerely applaud you doing what you need to do for your family , I had to sell my 67 Stang a while back , and while it pained me to do so, bottom line was we couldn't live in it and being homeless with a nice car is a silly concept
23K + and climbing......5 days left....
at 23k, you must be happy.
"reserve not met"
guess not...
I will most likely email the high bidder and see if the want the car at their bid price.....i have to see what happens, i may end up re-lisitng a few times before it sells. Im hopeful though....

Good luck on the sale Dave
Sold 24k Private sale off ebay. Car is going to end up in Texas.......buyer is a super cool and nice retiree who had a 70 Torino ragtop in Law school in 74, and wanted the same car to use in his retirement......at least its not going to a dealer and getting flipped for quick sale. Maybe he will sell it back to me in a few years.....
Good for you! I'm glad it turned out good!
so the good side of all this is the 83 Thunderbird comes out of storage now and maybe will roadworthy before summer.....pics soon....
will you be digging out the sun glasses and jacket too? you need to go retro
Im older than the car, so that makes me "vintage", Jerry! LOL
More like digging out the sunglasses to hide the tears at delivery. I'm glad it's going to a good home. Keep tabs on it, ask the new owner to keep your contact info stuffed in the glovebox. Ask him to give you a call if he every decides to put it back on the market. Maybe business will be booming when you get the call.
Good advice....thanks for the kind thoughts.....
mmmmm 70 Cyclone Spoiler
