Nice! I've had a 77 and two 78s, one of which was a Diamond Jubilee. Love those cars.....
my two 79's will be entombed with me when I die!!
Oooohh awesome now you've got a pair! Man theres such a difference in size between the 79 and 80.... There's actually 2 of these in very nice condidtion for sale in two different places in very good condition nearby but I ain't got money for that lol. I would love to have one though. I've always liked em. They're definitely for a certain taste though I'd say.
Thought I'd share a pic of my 78 DJ. I sold it because I didn't have time to give it the TLC it needed, and I felt bad letting it sit outside. I'll get another one some day. Hopefully with t-tops this time....

Graham , New ride looks great and thanks for sharing your photos friend. :D
D & P ;)
The only pic I could find of my 79 T-top is of it parked behind my first turboranger.

It was rollin on 8's and 10's with 235/295 tires. Had a 400/C6 I swapped in from my wrecked 77 Ranchero. That was the first engine and first transmission I ever rebuilt.
you should of kept that car. one of the rarest t-top birds, 79 town landau t-top
I have always wondered what kind of gas mileage those cars get. Got any numbers? I like the way they look, but I have always thought they'd be too expensive to drive daily.
about 8 in town and 15 highway they are pretty expensive to drive.
I forgot to add the most important thing about this car. it was saved from a Pick-a-Part!!!
Did you actually buy it from Pick a Part? I thought that barcode sticker looked familiar.
The guy I bought it from bought it for parts but couldn't use what he needed since his is a 77
Consider yourself lucky. Around here, once they go into the u pull it yards, they don't come out whole. I've asked on more than one occasion about buying a "complete" car and was promptlly told "NO WAY, PARTS ONLY".
this one is far to nice to fall victim to the pick-a-part. I think they might of known how rare of a car it was since the window said no parts and sell lot.
Looks good. seen about your jaunt south on facebook!!!!
here are a few more pics of the old bird. Enjoy :D

Looks good! Is the color dove grey? My grandfather had a 78 cougar that looked to be the same color. I like it.
Looks good !!
yes the color is: 1N Dove Grey
Sweet! It defenately brings back memories.
Looking good :).
One of the guys in my local T-bird club has two of these. a 78 Town Landau and a 78 Sport Decor package. He actually daily drives the Town Landau, in Chicago. The "Sport" is the show car and has been restored back to factory appearance.
Hmm, fancy lookin' Cougar in a few of those pics. It's too bad that Cougar was faster than the T-Bird. Those T-Tops don't help with aerodynamics much :D
