Title: Snowflakes
Post by: thewestie on February 14, 2011, 09:11:52 PM
I'm looking at running  the flakes for another year. Whats the widest tire I can put on them? I believe there a 16x7 wheel. For some reason the front tires look brand new but the rears are smooth if you look close you can see where the tread used to be. :burnout:

Aspect ratio will affect total width choice.  Personally, I wouldn't go past 245.

What does Aspect ratio mean?

What does Aspect ratio mean?

The height of the sidewall (the "50" or "60", etc)

I agree with the above, no wider than a 245.  I've run 245/50's on 16x7's before, and they were OK.  They were also V or Z-rated as well, to cut down on the sidewall squirm.  I HATE squirmy tires.

Scored a set of 17x9 wheel from a buddy. If I can come up with the coin id like to get as wide a tire as i can. I want to try and hook this thing up a little
