how can I simply look at this add and tell which state it is in?
isnt there a state listing option on CL?

I would assume (I know what they say about that, too) that "Hudson Valley" is going to be Upstate New York. Also, Google the city (Otisville) or the area code of the phone number :)

Its New York ..if you click on the "hudson valley craigslist "in the upper left it will bring you to that listings "home page " and there is the list of nearby cities

Oh yeah I've seen that thing once or twice in the last 6 months or so, that's generally closer to the city, the area in between Albany and NYC, but then again I see people from Poughkeepsie that list on the Albany CL as well. He has listed that on the Albany CL before.

CL does put the state abbreviation behind some city names, but why not do all of them? http://jackson.craigslist.org/ http://jxn.craigslist.org/ http://jacksontn.craigslist.org/
