Are the sport speedo gauges on the sports cable or electrical ?
to bad wanted a cable one
Steve, you may have to go aftermarket. I think all the 86-88's have electronic speedo's.
Yea I bought one just trying to avoid hacking the cluster i cant afford a complete set right now.
I have a speedo out of an 80's stang. Not sure if it would work, but I would let it go cheap.
Why would you hack the cluster? To try to use the buttstuffog other gauges? Will that even work?
I need to mount a cable driven speedo in the cluster witch as far as i can see means a hole saw through the panel and who knows what contacts Ill break and what instruments Ill lose. I have a 80s mustang 140 speedo but doubt that will work I have a sn95 dash but not sure what drives that speedo
What tranny are you running? Reason I'm asking is that the electric speedos just need the two wires connected from the sending unit on the trans. You should be able to use the Sport cluster without problems.
I running a T5 but I pretty much gutted the wires in the car, can I run new ones. I'd love to keep the T.C cluster. Id imagine Id need to re power it? The other day some one left the map lite on and drained the battery. When I had the jump pack on and was cranking it over the speedo jumped to 30 mph then dropped to 0. hasn't moved since?
