Hanging about a foot off the headlight harness, and they are not the side marker lights, those are plugged in.

are you sure those arent for the lights on the fenders?
They look like 194 bulbs, and I'd say they're not factory, since 87-88's didn't have any 194 bulbs up front. Check your headlight housings for holes, because somebody probably drilled some in them to insert those bulbs to use as running lights.
Also check where those wires meet the harness and see if they were added. I agree with the above posts...not factory.
What do they do? Light up with the headlights? Blink with the turn signals?
They were wrapped pretty well, so it looked nice, but it is all jacked up with connectors, so the previous owner added them. They were tapped off the sidemarker right next to the head light. Weird.
are there extra holes in your headlights?
Not that I could see last night, but i was focused on getting ready to put the engine back in, this was kind of an afterthought right before I called it quits. Ill investigate probably tomm., I really curious what the point was.
