I could put a turbo on it, but it's got almost 290,000 miles on a stock engine. Also, I don't know if it came with cast or forged internals :(
year and engine size ?
'89 350 cu.in.
cast i believe and you may be headed for blow-by issues if you throw boost at it.. those rings aren't as strong as they once were lol
yup cast and it wont hold up lol
cast pistons can handle a little boost, but i would say 5psi max
I wouldn't mind putting a small block 454 into it, but I'd rather throw that money at something with a Blue Oval.
I know, I need a Mustang :D
i wish i had a fox stang with a built 347 in it lol, back on topic throw a 351 in it
HEY.. no! i'm the sbf powered chevy guy here LOL
wanna make a wager on this one sir :p
i'm the only 1 here who sort of lays claim to 1 lol
ohhh shiz son bout to go down... i'll raise you a shiney penny...:hick:
and i'll raise you by 2!
I wonder what I would need to change to drop that 512 in the Silverado, anyway ;-)
money, lots of money.. lol
And see, I could throw that money at my Thunderbird, or another project car, should I be able to talk my most beautiful, sweetest, most loving and understanding wife in the whole wide world into :)
big block in the bird with a blower sticking out of the hood :p
The only problem with that is I want to daily drive the bird, and I wouldn't want my blower to get rained on...
Which is why it will probably get a turbo.
Blower whine off of a 6-71 always makes me pop a chubby :o
lol
HHmmm ....you've got a point, sir, you've got a point
If I wasn't a poor broke I would be all over this....
