Title: 86 TC driveshaft too long for 87 TC?
Post by: fordguy545 on January 01, 2011, 12:31:49 AM
So in the process of building my new car, I needed to put the driveshaft in to check for clearance in building my torque arm.  It ended up being about an inch or so too long to fit even being bottomed out in the trans.  Driveshaft was out of an auto (C3) 86 tc with a 7.5.  The car it was going in is a 87 5.0 car that is going 2.3/T5/8.8.  I ended up putting in the mustang driveshaft that came with the rear axle and its just barely in the trans(I knew it would be way short, but works in a pinch:hick:
