What do you guys think? Paint it Black, and bolt er' on? or maybe sliver to match the cougar? kind of like an old eliminator go wing eh?

I always vote "no" for wings on these cars.
normally i do too, im not the worlds biggest fan of wings considering all of the pointless Airplane monsters you see on FWD hondas these days, but i recently did a repaint on the stock wing of my '89SSE Bonneville, and im really happy with how it turned out.

My vote would be take it off that poor bird and leave it in the j/y
Not a fan of wings on these cars. Ford intended them to have a slick aero appearance.
Wire wheels and a wing?
I'm just not feeling it.
wing=NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Toss it away.....
BTW... mine will be leaving the vert as well
Toss it far away. It's too small, and these cars just don't look right with them. If you don't want to throw it away,at least donate it to your nearest ricer charity.
I just realized there were wire wheels too... Definitely 100% absolutely
NO then
I like the wings on our cars. Nothing ricy, but the wings tht came factory (or at least that LOOK like they came factory) look pretty nice. Someone has a late 80's Trans Am wing on their bird and that looked good too....
wow, i hate to admit it, but i think its going to go as a resounding no then. oh well, saves me money for my diff. and you raise a good point, i have to agree on not putting the wire wheels and wing together.
spoilers look alright if they are the "right" spoiler. I have found that one from a geo storm fits the car quite perfectly not too fond of the firebirds....
I think the 87/88 body styles lend themselves better to a spoiler.
yeah, i guess thats why they call it a spoiler, tends to mess up the look of a car if it isnt right, which most times it isnt.
General rule of thumb is this: leave the factory body alone. No spoiler's, body kits, or other add-ons. They make the car look cheap, tacky, and redneck/ricer.
There are however some exceptions, most noticeably Eric's 'vert. That is an example of doing body mods the right way. :)
Doesn't Eric have the spoiler from a BMW M3 on the back of his 'vert? It looks killer, too
I do agree, if the aftermath looks like it came that way from the factory, it's a plus in my book. When it looks like an after-thought, that's not any good. Then again, it's not my car and not my money, so long as they're happy with the gaudy wings, more power to 'em...
yeah its just too small it doesn't look right. Normally I like em, but not this one.
I didn't realize you wanted to put it on with the wire hubcaps...
I'd keep the decklid anyways and save it for if/when you get different rims.
Put a cobra R wing on it.... :mullet: :barf:
Step away from any "wing" talk and do something under the hood.
