Does anyone have a build sheet for their 87-88 Thunderbird in really nice shape? Anyone with access to a decent scanner? Mine is dilapidated and in pieces to say the least, and just so have, I wanted to use the computer to make one. I don't want to claim it as the original or anything, not that it would be worth anymore, it wouldn't. I just want to transfer whats on the tattered paper to a nicer one.
bump?

Sorry bro I had to do it.
Search User Rides for build threads.
???????????? how would that help him find what he is looking for ??????
I don't get it either. Maybe he is thinking i'm looking for like a motor spec balance sheet or something... I dunno... But i think he is the one who fails... lol
I guess I did. Sorry dude.

haha. It's fine, lol.
you're looking for the build sheet that's in the window when a car is sitting on the lot new, correct?
this is a build sheet

i have never in my life seen a car with a build sheet under the seat lol
That's where a majority of them are from 87 and up... There's a thread about this somewhere.... might be a sticky by now
under the rear seat, and in the trunk are also other places they were put... Along with above the gas tank in a lot of earlier cars
i guess someone got to it before i got my hands on the cars
might have never even had one.... another possibility
A build sheet is not the same as a window sticker , the build sheet is used by the assembly line workers .
I found what was left of mine under the passenger seat .
true.. i'll go with that option lol
My build sheet was impossible to retrieve once I found out where it was. It turned into a c of removing teeny pieces of paper from between the metal....
That was my problem. But if i put them all together I can pretty much make out everything it says.
Oh no, mine was severely faded/yellowed as well.
That's why I left mine where it is... It's safer right where it sits
Here's the thread you are probably thinking about.

If anyone has buildsheet info please add it to the thread listed.
That's it....I searched, but couldn't remember what the thread was called...
Thanks
I search for things I know that are there all the time and always come up empty, lol.
There was another thread about build sheets where I posted a scan of mine. I can't find that thread.
My 83's build sheet was under the driver side carpet. I took the seat and carpet out to weld the floorpan and found it there. Here is a link to it full-size:

Some of the codes are identical to Capri/Mustang, which I am more adept in decoding, but here is what I could do with CoogarXR's build sheet.

Sweet. I would say that's dead on with the exception of the clock and antenna. It had just the standard, non-power antenna. And it had an buttstuffog clock.
This post was from 5 years ago though, and that poor cougar is in fox-body heaven now. I sold it to a guy for $400. He said he wanted to fix it up with his son. Turns out, he was a liar. He drove it home, packed his belongings into the car and left his family, and junked the car to get his $400 back. It was a free u-haul I guess.
Well I dunno for sure but could be a std item(meaning not optional or a upgrade wasn't ordered) would not have a mark in box, as all would get the std version unless the build sheet stated differently... I'm 99% at least on the antenna...
Some of those things I had to guess on. They weren't options for Carpi/Mustang so I'm unfamiliar with the codes on other models' build sheets.
