Title: Smog pump delete belt length?

Could someone tell me the smog pump delete belt length with stock pulleys. Or possibly show some pics . I bought an 84.5 belt but can't seem to get it on.

I checked on some stang sites . and they suggest an 84.5 in belt . I can't fit it on .

Just cut an old belt or use a string and wrap it around your path and compensate for the tensioner.. You really don't need anyone to tell you the size, measure it!

Thats all i did. Just did the string  length measurement and bought a couple belts. Then returned what I did not use.

There is also two different ways you can wrap the belt.

I got the right one after 2 try's . 87 5/8 in .

Your power steering pump bracket and A/C brackets are totally different from those on a Fox Mustang; hence the need for a longer belt....

When I did the 5.8L swap I used mustang serp setup. Which is now wider.

your tension pully can also be modified by cutting away some of the aluminum housing at the "STOP" point so you can actually install a much wider range of belts.
