A lot of people chop up trikes and do that. It's pretty funny although I would never tear up my 3 wheeler to do that. They are a blast to ride though. I've seen some that were pretty cool looking, where the guys modified the frame and did all kinds of cool shiznit. I am a 3 wheeler nut by the way, gots me 2 of 'em.
i have a 99 CR250.. was never fond of 3 wheelers and only like 2 quads.. but that's just awesome lol
I guess I like the three wheelers because it takes a little more skill to ride than a quad. I did have an '89 Xr250r with the 4 valve RFVC motor, that thing was insane....
i love my CR250 and will never get rid of it.. i kind of um.. stole parts off my shelf for my micro motor (77.5mm stroker crank, BAM cool head, methanol carb, skeetz cylinder, V3 reed cage, etc) you name it, it has it.. it will destroy a 660 raptor, which is no easy task
i had a 250r 3 wheeler a few years ago and i didn't like it.. i ported the cylinder, jetted the carb and put a white bros pipe on it and it was still slow.. so i traded it +$600 for my CR and couldn't be any happier.. of course, there's nowhere to ride anymore.. jersey sucks
The water cooled R's can be built scary fast, I've seen some that are drag race built that are just insane. I like trail riding, so a shiznit ton of speed doesn't do me too much good. I like the low end of the 4 strokes. My old Big Red could pull a 1/2 ton truck out of a ditch. Ask me how I know lol
Here ya go. 250r quad (exact same as 3 wheeler, but has one more wheel and is heavier) vs. 660 raptor....

nice lol mine never sees pavement, never will.. it's just a trail riding bike on steroids.. i'm not a fan of drag racing any bike.. i do all my racing on 4 wheels, much safer lol
I hear ya. Thing that sucks is, the trails are becoming less and less unless you own a load of land.
there's literally nowhere to ride around here anymore unless you know someone.. and riding around a trail that boarders a farmers field gets very boring, very fast
Around here there's a good chance of being shot at riding on someone else's farm. There is a State Park here that you can ride in, they have about 100 acres designated for OHV riding, but it gets so packed sometimes it's just not worth the money (it's like 15 bucks per vehicle for 3 days) or the trip.
i have permission to ride on the farm, but it's boring.. riding around the outskirts of a 220 acre farm just sucks.. there's a park in a town called chatsworth where you can ride, but same scenario, nowhere else to ride so it gets packed
