I lost all of my dash lights the other morning when I pushed in the cig lighter as soon as I pusshed it in the lights died but the cig lighter still works???

Did you lose all the the dash lights or just the cluster ? console car or not?

its the fuse lost all dash lights and parking lights just dont understand how I blew that fuse when I pushed in the cig lighter

There is a dash light wire right next to the lighter it may have a chafe

........and don't use the lighter.
