Title: Show off your snow removal machine
Post by: Chooglin on November 03, 2010, 07:24:17 PM
I figured now that winter is just around the corner,I thought maybe we could show off are snow removal machines.

I picked this snowblower up this summer ($75.00) cleaned it up,painted it and installed all new bearings.all though its a single stage,I think it should do the job...................let it snow !!!!!!!!

... 'cause there's just a few things I won't do ---- so someone else can take that snow and shovel it.

I picked up a 2-cycle snow blower at a storage unit sale for $5. I had it running once, but never again. I need to get that thing running soon. I'll snap a pic later, it's a Gilson from 1974, heh...

First pic: The plow for the ATV I made a few years ago. I used an old 100-lb propane cylinder cut in half and welded back together for length. The second pic is the snowblower, an MTD 10 horse/28" cut two stage that I use when the snow gets too deep for the ATV plow...

I have a Torro snow blower for snow removal. I hate snow.

I like this 80's classic removal;) though:

The snow doesn't bother me, the truck I drive most has a lever on the floorboard that usually gets me through.
If the snow is deep enough (or school is called for the day) I don't have to go to work. One of the perks of Apex...school canceled, day off, no points accrued. :D

As for snow removal, I have a Ford 4000SU and a blade...I don't try to remove it so much, just take some of the top off so that the family car can get to the road.

Me too. I actually don't have to shovel snow, but I do help my dad when I go out to his house.
