Title: Spidercracks fixable?
Post by: RareBreed 5.0 on November 03, 2010, 05:33:33 PM
I was staring at my tail lights today and in the outside corners of both of'em there are what looks like little spiderwebs and i was told that they can't be fixed and need to be replaced, but there in nice condition besides the webs. Is there anything i can do to get them to go away without having to throw'em away?

If they look like spider webs, you probably can't do anything about it.Those are IN the plastic, not on the surface. Look for some replacement lenses and install them.

Agreed - I have one in one 1.5x1.5"  spot on the side of my drivers side which I think were perfect not too long ago so I think it may have had an impact somewhere, by something. I know of no times the alarm has gone off though (I know if it has when I go to disarm the car if I don't hear it) and it would. Perhaps just age, heat/cool expansion/contraction, and whatnot.
