If anyone has suffered any bone breaks / injuries that required surgery with screws and a metal plate, AND happens to have a pic of the X-ray. post it here. (Let's hope i'm not the only twisted person here)

What Happened: On Oct 8th, I was working on my house (building a Home Theater) and I was coming down from the latter. It's aluminum and the leg literally buckled underneath me. Causing me to fall right onto the broken ladder, breaking my ankle in 2 places. After surgery, that picture is the result. I have 6 screws and a metal plate in my right ankle. (naturally I cannot drive :( ) Currently, it's almost been 4 weeks, and my leg is in an Aircast.
Owww. Ladders can be deadly, unfortunately they're a daily routine for me..good luck on the healing, although I'm sure a lot of cold will be a PITA now.
My left shoulder , pins plates and screws , the reason I have only 10% usage of my left arm
oouch that looks nasty!
alex kinda looks like my left ankle. 6 inch plate and bout 10 screws holding the plate and bone together. sorry no pic. happened when i was 17.
Do I smell a lawsuit?:beatyoass:
I cant.. the ladder was light weight.. rated at 200lb and i was 225lbs :(
ohhhhh....
:nono:
honestly i didn't know the ladder had such low rating. I mean I thought they'd start at 250.. oh well..
I will try to find my hideously impacted wisdom teeth x-ray.
No broken bones for me.Probably due to the fact I've never been exposed to Kryptonite.
Yeah, mine too. Mine was on it's side, pushing into the last molar. It was pretty well hidden under the gum, except for a smooth part sticking out, barely felt, unseen.
It had rubbed and grated on the molar eventually causing a cavity to form...the pain was immense. Percocet became my friend, the dentists took them both out...yay.
When the referring dr took the first pics of it, I told him i wanted that thing out now. He of course wouldn't do it, and sent me to an orthodontic surgeon.
Some people are horrified to lose a tooth...not me, I'm glad that sumbitch is gone. Worst. Pain. Ever.
I've had stitches too from some falls, and cracked a rib once, but otherwise no screws, staples, or plates etc.
I suppose you don't let anyone take your blood either?:rollin:
(on account of all the supervillains that could be created with it...)
i washiznit by a car while riding my bike ten years ago last month(oct 9th to be exact) and broke my leg(both bones) and cracked my wisdom tooth on one side of my mouth. not all that bad considering how fast he was going but i was in pretty good shape back then.
a titanium rod and some screws hold it together now. they didnt put the rod down deep enough and it ground into my knee for years afterwards.
id have some pics of it to show but i dont feel like paying the hospital 12 bucks for the x-ray copies since i still owe them all sorts of money still.
but i might get bored and walk over there and snap a few of them with a camera instead for ya.
They've tried,the needle just bends.
