In the past week, I parked the TB in the garage for a few days (This summer it had been running warmer than I'd like and I thought there might be a problem, but let it pass when the weather cooled off). I walked into the garage the other day, and observed a notable pool of coolant at the driver's side front wheel! Checked the radiator and noted the level dropped down inside but the coolant bottle on the passenger side was higher than it should be. No leakage indicative of the size of the pool could be traced anywhere. A few days later I decided the car was safe to drive so I could double my effort in learning what happened. Afterward, everything returned to normal and no leak was seen. The loss of coolant then appeared insignificant----now baffled! Any ideas on this case? Never happened before... Bad radiator cap??--but why the leak?
what your saying is the puddle of coolant hasnt repeated itself?
running a little hot can be very difficult to troubleshoot so we typically (i would) shot gun the problem from easiest part to the hardest.
I would confirm the fans both come on first, then look for a wet line going to the intake.
Tstat would be next.

you mean fan
as in ThunderBird I believe? Not (TC);)
Strange case indeed. Sounds to me like you need a new cap. That is what controls the levels between the rad and overflow bottle. If your levels are funky thats most likely the problem. And its possible that your puddle came from fluid leaking out from under the cap so that's where I would start. The generic ford radiator cap over at AZ or Advanced under the "help" section should be adequate. That's what I used on mine.
