so my mustang is a M/A car. and i have read that they are slower due to the meter being a restiction . so i can score a set of 24 pound injectors and 80mm m/a meter out of a mark 8 at the bone yard . and i am going to be hetting an Exploder intake. and put all of them on at the same time. im not sure about the Gt-40 heads not sure if they will be done.
so basicly i will have a 93 cobra motor. with the heads ,intake ,injectors im just not sure if i can do that or not. would i need a chip for these to work . bc i know fords injectors are in the meter. or would it be ezier to buy a rebuilt 93 computer for the car? and add all those goodies.
im just seeing if i can do it and have it work properly b4 i get the 347 done (wich looks like a while from now) and go with a Carbed setup or if i should just go carbd now
Erik
Im not sure the computer would work. Because the Mark VIII are all 4.6. So unless you have a 4.6 I would say the computer wouldn't work.
Check out those injectors before you buy them to see which style they are. If they are the newer style ones you will need an adapter harness to install them onto your existing wire harness. As far as the MAF sensor goes I'm not sure if that particular one will work. If it will that's great. If not, try finding a stock MAF out of a 94 or 95 Mustang 5.0 as they are 70MM as opposed to the earlier style 57MM that came on the Fox Mustangs.
i got one of those 94-95 ones. they are alot bigger than stock. but the 80mm is also the same design just bigger. and from what i have learned it is beter to have a bigger meter and then restict air at the tb.
and for the Computer i was refering to a foxbody cobra or some 50/5.8 that came with 24's i figured the marks comp wouldnt work
