i need to know if theirs any diff in the fule pump for a 302 and the h.o 302?
Yes there is SO 302 =65 lph HO 302 =88 lph
the HO pump can be used in place of the SO , but it wont work well the other way
ok well as far as i know the motor came out of a 93 mustang. i got a new pump to day and i got it for the 93 but they could not tell me if it was a h.o pump or not.
Ok , you lost me a little , where did you get the pump from?
If it was a parts store and you got one for a 93 mustang 5.0 it should be what you need
ya i got it from the parts store but what got me is that they could not say if it coverd the h.o or not. thats what i was woundering
What brand pump and do you have the part number ?
We can probably figure out what they gave you .
its a bestest fule pump and the part number is BE2061
heres the link to the pump iv trying to find the lph but i cant seem to find it. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BTF0/BE2061.oap?year=1993&make=Ford&model=Mustang&vi=1134076&keyword=fuel+pump%21s%21strainer&pt=C0401&ppt=C0025
All fuel inj Mustangs were HO...
Well that is the correct pump for the application , I'm still working on finding the specs
fixed that for ya ;)
I was trying to determine that they gave him a V8 pump .
ok guys thanks for the help and one more thing where can i get a filler neck gaset at?
Thx, I some times forget about the half motors(and I had a '87 with a 2.3)... I started to type SEFI which would have technically been correct, the 2.3 are batch fire... :hick:
The SO pump is 60Lph and HO is 88Lph... The ones for the supercharged 3.8 are 95Lph...
ok thanks guys i just wanted to know that i have the right pump befor i use it and cant take it back.
The 2061 is also listed for the 4cyl mustang too? The 2073 would be a better choice probably
should i take the pump back and get a diff one then?
No sir , you should be all set , they make the aftermarket pumps stronger than the factory specs to cover multiple applications .
I would not worry about it at all.;)
