Title: Is this a superchip?
Post by: RDOG on October 15, 2010, 01:59:59 PM
I was digging around in the jy and found a 1990 automatic Stang with this piece between harness and computer. It looks like a superchip of some kind. Anyone know whats its from? Is it a superchip?

Nope.  SuperChips plugged into the other side of the case.

Not sure what that is.  Part of a cable for an old break-out box maybe.

I bought a superchip like that once, it plugged into the front like that and it came with a octane bar for the distributor that you would replace the stock one with, and a 160* tstat.. I'm going back to about 1996-1997 but I'm 100% positive it was between the harness and EEC and I bought it at summit for like $250 and returned it a week later LOL

edit: here you go.. gotta love google :)

I would say its a breakout box.  Pretty cool!  Although its missing the rest of the diagnostic equipment that goes with it.
