Went to pick up a couple of small trim pieces for my 87 TC and they got a new batch of Fox cars in and they paved the entire lot! I plan on going back next week to get the non-cruise A frame for the Cougar and a couple of other things. There was one 77-79 Thunderbird (I got pics) and two Mark 7s that I didn't get too good of a look at because there was people at them.

OMG! Are you taking orders????????????????
I have a list ready for you, lol
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
what he said , but my list is really short :D
Is there a way you can get me the O2 and injector harness and the passenger side inner fender hole plug (big round plastic disc) from the red 20th anniversary Cougar?
Don't tell me that's a 20th there :(
YEP! :barf:
as soon as i saw the picture of the front of the car i knew what it was. and i'm sure you did to ;)
i've all ways bin a motor head but even though it has a column shift it would still be a nice car to own..
the only thing i would do if i owned one or a convertible would be to rebuild the motor in it.. 300HP max.
i would even switch the transmission to a T5 just a rebuilt AOD and leave the column shift..
I'll take that 87 Cougar left tail light assy! WOW! That is amazing how many usable parts on those cars.
The pictures in this thread make me sad. :(
Wow, really makes me miss my 20th's....... :(
If you are gonna take a few orders(for lack of a better word LOL) let us know!
I don't mind taking some orders as long as people understand that I am unemployed and can't drive 40 miles round trip (in a truck that gets 12 mpg...) without making a little profit from it.
I totally understand.I'm still in.
I understand completely
Same here PM sent
Wow--
Two of those appeared to be "Rose-Quartz" color exteriors. 15 years ago a local shop here ordered a driver door for us from California. Now we could use a passenger door. But I'll bet that the paint on those 2 are more faded than ours. Never before saw a yard put vehicles up on rims like that... Is that so pickers can reach underneath? ...or to preserve the tires? Thanks for all the effort in taking pictures--enjoyed so much. Haven't seen those early '80s T-Birds around here in years.
F*ckin' shame that Anni Cougar is in there....grrrrr...
They put them up on wheels like that so people can get under them safely.
All those salvageable 4-eyes :(
is it just me or are all those dashes uncracked? Those and the tail lights are worth bank.
Better there for parts than straight to the crusher.
Wow! That is a lot of Foxes.
Whenver I go the the boneyard, I'm always amazed at what people throw away. That white bird is obviously totalled, but a lot of the other cars probably ended up there because their owners whouldn't spend what amounts to less that a couple months' car payments on repairs.
Yeah, they are up like that so parts are more accessible and safer to get to. The paint on nearly all the car is shot. The desert sun just kills it, especially if the cars were neglected.
All the dashes are cracked in one place or another. There was one completely uncracked dash last time I was there but it is gone. There is a bunch of good tail lights though and the headlights on the 87-88 Cougar are pretty nice.
It is a shame that all these good cars are there but like Vinnie said, at least they are available to get parts from.
A couple of those 4-eye shells/rollers would make a good starting point for a project. Faded paint is nothing.
Oh yeah I totally agree. Faded paint is an upgrade when drive around a multicolored car like me ;)
Get everybody to make their official list, and get assurance they will pay, then go shopping.
Lol, I may have to clear out some of my existing parts stash to free up some money to spend at the yard. Can't take any more out of the bank account or wife will kill me.
Try not to wait too long or the good stuff will be history.remember,it can often take money,to make money.

I've said it before, and I'm saying it now: I wish had the means to buy up every Fox Tbird and Cougar I could find....surely 190 acres would hold a few. Only when the bare shells and broken, unwanted parts were left would they get to leave.
Oh, to be independently wealthy...:D
The TC I got my hood, rear and other assorted pieces from...I wish I could've bought the whole car. When I first saw it, all that had been taken was the dash, and the headliner was ruined.
I know exactly how you feel...
I got a few parts from a 5.0 LS when it came in to the yard... It was in perfect shape. The engine was beautiful, the interior was near spotless, ALL the options, even the paint was mostly intact.
I asked them when I was on my way out if they would be willing to sell me the whole car, they said no.
Went back 3 weeks later, GONE. They don't hold on to foxes very long around here. They're crusher bait. Funny thing is I know I would have given them more for it than they got for the s....
s!!!!!LOL
It probably won't be this week that I go back. Maybe next week depending on money.
Buy stuff people!

I've seen this alot through the years, But most all at once was like 3.
Do you think you would be able to get into the trunk of the Tan Elan?
And dont forget to grab the Clear Fronts on the white '83. ;)
