So, I have been trying to make my first smoker out of a 30 gal compressor. I just need to make legs, build a smoke box out of a 5 gal air tank, and build some legs for it... also some really cool smoke stacks:mullet:
Nice work. I wish I knew how to weld and work with metal.
Make sure the main tank seals tight.
N20, awesome :headbang:
I'm digging these, right now, though ... http://www.hotrodgrills.com/
slowly making progress, I had a pt cruiser head gasket to do last week. I just need some cool smoke stacks and to make a stand for it
MOAR!
Where did you get the tanks from?
the blue one was from a friend that had the piston explode(30 gal compressor), and the yellow one is from harbor freight(11 gal air tank), and the controls are from a grill i found in someones trash.
So I did a trial run, and the pork butt came out awesome. It stayed at 300* for six hours, and I was able to turn off the gas and just feed it logs. I cant wait to do some ribs, tomorrow I will be doing some turkey . What do you guys think. I still need to mount some expanded metal under the smoker to hold my wood and get a hose extention to mount the tank, these are a ton of work... and some smoke stacks
lol that's awesome
I'm thinking we need to taste test the product to make sure it comes out okay :grinno:
Seriously, that is cool.
finally done!!!! paint and all, and no I am not a UCF or saints fan lol. I used copper hammer coat!!!
LOL, that's awesome...
The exhaust stacks are clutch....that thing is awesome man.
