Looks like a Heritage leftover and Factory Rebadge:

Wow.  That car hardly looks used at all.  And I've finally seen what original polycast wheels look like.

83 was the last year for the Heritage name, 84 started the Elan so yes it basically is a rebadged heritage. Only thing I am wondering about, my 83 Heritage grille bird has turquoise inserts and the 84 looks like just the chrome bird. I know the part # is a E3 as I have a NOS one. Does anyone have a 84 Elan here that could add input? Here is a pic of the 83 emblem

Beautiful Car.  Check out the weird  side windows .  Never seen that before.  I like the seats.

The vent windows seemed to be more common on the earlier cars from what I have seen.

Wow, beautiful car. It's exactly like mine, only better optioned. Is that one fully loaded? My 84 Elan has the same seats.

Also, Dansbird, here's a pic of my 84 Elan's grill, the emblem appears to be the same as the one on the bird for sale, just a little worse for wear...

I've got a collection of Grille Emblems from the JY, I'll post up some pics~Though I have not yet encountered an '84 Elan.

Nice!  Stock casette suggests that the car was probably never driven by a kid.

that car is fully optioned, except for the Leather Seat option. I coudnt see if it had the auto dimming rear view mirror.  It does have the fairly rare factory anti-theft system as well.  I had a Silver 84 Elan many years ago, and the badging was not the Blue bird like the 83 Grill. It was Silver/color keyed to match the silver paint.

If you look at the 4th pic, you can see through the window that it doesn't have the auto dimming rear view. It does have the ultra rare blue fuzzy dice option though :D

Personally I have never seen any fox bird with an auto dim mirror, I didnt even know it was available.

I know that people have added it (myself included) but I never seen a factory one

My 84 Elan has one. I have no idea if it still works, but it's there. I'm not the original owner, but it's 100% original as far as can could tell. My history 999 report says I have "Electronic Day/Night Rear View Mirrors."

Cool, I was doing some research and I found where it was available.
I guess they are pretty rare though
