Title: Well, I Finally got Around to Messing with the Upper Control Arms
Post by: Scott D on September 26, 2010, 05:10:06 PM
I was told by all of the auto parts stores, "we need the bolt to match everything up." So, I got brave and took the 'underbird apart, today. O'Riely's, Advanced Autoparts, and Tractor Supply did not have what I needed. So, the 'underbird sits in the driveway on jack stands until I stop by Fastenal, tomorrow. Then I will get the nuts & bolts I need to get the car back together.

The bolts that go in the parts that go to the body. The originals cannot be reused.

Once again, close, but not exactly what I am needing for the front UCA's of the 'underbird.

You talking about the bolts that have the little tack- welded -looking-washer thing in on them?

Yep. Those metal flags don't have to be there, but the problem is finding bolts that match the thread depth and whatnot. Like I said, I'm stopping by Fastenal, tomorrow.
