I finally got time to fix my '87 Tbird and it came from factory black with gray interior and i was thinking about painting it fire engine red with a black stripe on the hood(not racing stripe) and a black roof/trunk. So i got to thinking i hardly ever see 87-88 birds or cougars around here and the ones i do see are white or black and i was wondering how many birds, that are still alive, are red?

The front fenders and doors of mine were.I had an '88 Bird (My first one) which was red.
Why would it matter how many red cars were out there? What if there were 1000 red ones here in Minnesota, would you paint yours blue then? If you think red would look cool, go for it!!
I have red Bird too. But originally it was dark grey metalic.

my friend has a red 84 v6 bird and I just saw a beautiful 87 lx the other day in great condition, owned by this guy who had it since it was 5
I want to get an 87/88 red bird to complete the collection between us, the 84 and 96
well.....almost red. The 83 Heritage (in the middle) is some form of red metallic...IIRC

mines red i guess... i call it maroon though... lol
will be satin black with red in the trim like a TC as soon as i find a set of moldings and a pair of fenders....
