So I have this cam laying around that I got in a trade a few years ago from a friend, and while the box says it's a Wolverine Blue Racer, I'd like to make sure.
I googled some stuff, but came up empty, and thought maybe some folks here could lend a hand..
*the stamped numbers are 80, and the printed? numbers are either 10-80 or 10-30, and below that is an 08/17. I assume that's a date, has no year because of a hole drilled where the year would be, if so.

Again, not sure if this is the cam from the box, and according to what I was told by my friend Steve, hiss brother George had it in his '93 5.0 coupe and apparently it idled too rough for his liking, so he swapped it out for an alphabet cam...i can't remember is he said b or e.. :rollin:
But he said it idled really lopey, made the car shake a bit, and was a PITA to drive in heavy traffic, so he pulled it out again and swapped.
If anyone can help out, it'd be very appreciated :D

Sorry I have no info to help, but I'm surprised to hear it was unstreetable with those specs,I ran a Motorsport A312 cam for years on a daily driver and the specs are similar.... of course lobe separation and things may be much different
OOOPS just noticed that is a roller cam ,the A312 is a flat tappett
measure the lobes and see if they come out to be whats on the lable...
it looks to be a mid sized cam, from what your saying, I think the cam thats in the box is bigger than the info on the box
They have mics at work....how should I measure it?
By the box info, would this be comparable to an alphabet cam?

That image is upside down I'm pretty sure it's E-860 08 and 08/1 as the bottom numbers.
you measure the lobe at 2 places, from heel to toe, then from side to side..
the side to side will give you the base circle of the cam, the heel to toe will give you full lift
subtract the base circle from the full lift, that eill give you the cam lift
then multiply cam lift by rocker ratio that gives you valve lift.
ex:
Base circle is 1.100
full lift is 1.400
1.400-1.100=.300
cam lift is .300
rocker ratio is 1.6
.300 x 1.6 = .480
