Title: Value of a 1960 T-bird
Post by: MeanGene on September 07, 2010, 08:23:01 PM
I know this is not exactly the right forum, but have any idea what a 1960 T-bird is worth.  It is in good condition, no rust, needs some minor drive train work, no body damage, original family ownership.

one would need some pictures and a few more details to give a value on the car

I bought my 59 from the original selling dealer as a 1 owner trade in with 42k miles on it in 1987. I paid 4k for it. Biggest problem with these cars is basically that they arent 55 56 or 57's. Dont get me wrong I like them its just the car went from sports car to yacht with the addition of that rear seat. Check the floors real good as in 58 t birds went unibody. Is it a 352 or the option 430? Post up some pics if you get it as I really like those big birds.

Based on the info given, I would say somewhere between $1K and $10K, but don't quote me on that. "Minor drive train work" could mean a LOT of different things and the interior wasn't even mentioned. In other words, we'd need a lot more info and several pics, especially if the paint isn't original. So, post 'em up, we'd love to see it!
