Post by: 347Thunder on September 02, 2010, 01:56:56 PM
This is a tremec 3550, I got it off craigslist for $900 came with tranny, bellhousing, zoom clutch (2 stickers):shakeass:, crossmember, yoke not a bad deal since just the tranny sells for $1,300 on ebay. Now I just need to get an aluminum flywheel, clutch quadrant, and shifter

yeah, tremec uses this red non hardening goop.
I was told told buy the guy that bought it that the guy he bought it from wanted to spray his stang with a 250 shot and did not want to break his 3550 so he sold it to buy a tko 600. the box this came in was a box for a tko 600 so the story lines up but you never really know till you put some power to it.:mullet::burnout:

You might want to think about a scatter shield with how much power you have.

Wow, just found a great deal on a lakewood bellhousing craigslist(one heavy bitch!!) got it 2 days ago for $100. I sanded it down and painted it, I still need to get all the bolts that mount the bellhousing, I also need to ge the flywheel and then va-room!!!!! I also scored this on ebay $66 shipped for the shifter.

hopefully your lakewood has more room to get to the bolts than mine did.  Mine was for a 460, but only one socket in the whole shop would fit on the 5/8 head bolts!

The guy that sold it to me said it did not fit his 93' cobra with long tube hedders, I am hoping they will fit mine because mine are made for and automatic but we will see.
