:headbang:
ok ok you got me :(
So, is that your project for the grille emblem? very nice.:D
Yep, that was my whole idea :)
I found a few cats in the boneyard, but none had an emblem big enough. Small ones were plentiful, but the Volvo emblem would swallow it up.
Not wanting to make a permanent change to the truck (which would mean I get a less than desirable truck, at best, means I had to use zip ties. Still, though, it makes an interesting 20-footer.
an extra rag helped hide the Volvo emblem ...
so this is your daily driver!
volos dont use a CAT diesel do they?
--irv
Yup, this is the daily driver. Then comes the Silverado, then the 'underbird.
This, particular truck is a '07 VNL 430 with the factory Volvo D13 engine putting out 475hp and 1750ft lbs @ 1600 RPM :headbang:
Catapillar was an option up until a year, or so, ago when Cat got out of the Class 8 market. They can't meet the EPA emissions regs, so they said, "we make enough money with other stuff, so we'll focus on that stuff."
Hell, t'ain't much heavier than an MN12...
Plus more torque=win.
More room in the back, too, for those who frequent the lizards:rollin:
The only thing that would be a Cougar in that picture is if your mama was sitting in the truck with a much younger man... LOL!
