I cannot decide on what style hood stripe I wanna go with. I had a black one on my Mustang before which was a 1970 Mach 1 style black hood stripe. I was not happy with my own self installation because I got it crooked and there were a couple of imperfections here and there, so I ripped it off after a couple of months.
Now I do not want to go with the same stripe I had before. I am more drawn to the hood stripes that do not reach the front of the hood, especially since the 2010-11 models came out.
So I have three choice I am considering. See whatchall think... Keep in mind that my hood is flat... I wish I had that power dome!
The bottom picture.
What I had before...
What it you took the other one and put the straight edge near the cowl and the rounded edge would stop before the end of the hood?
#3 looks like the new Camaro stripes, IMO
The pics of the bottom look like a Camaro (I agree with you Scott),the pics of the stripe you had before look,in my own opinion, that they were installed backwards,I would pick number two.The middle pic.
+1 I feel sure (I could be wrong) that the open end of the stripes is suppose to be on the backside near the windshield.
I don't know how they are supposed to be.They are probably applied as they should be,but they look wrong to me....BUT,that's simply my opinion. When it comes to stripes,I'm really picky.I don't want anything that anyone else has,yet I want them to look "right".
Well here is the 1970 Mach 1 where the design of my first stripe originated from. And here is the 2009 V6 Sport Appearance Package that also used the stripe as OEM.
That's the problem I have is that they seem backwards to me, even though there were that way on 1970 Mach 1's. I liked it at first but now it doesn't sit well with me at all...
More than anything I really want to break up that expanse of white on the hood. If it were not for black rocker stripes it would look like a very plain Mustang.
JMHO , I don't think I would like any of the new choices without the dome, but if I had to pick I would say picture number 2
2012 Boss 302
I don't like the grill much , it looks like they were being cheap by not giving it its own grill .
Other than that yummmy :D
They did that on purpose... The fogless grille with the blanks in place are like the ones on classic Boss 302 Trans Am race cars...

OK I'll give them that ..... I'm still on the fence as far as how it looks though:p
The stripe you had on first looks the best.
Still rollin' around in my head...
And I have also been contemplating a reverse "C" stripe for the bodysides while making use of the existing lower stripe on the doors. The new Boss 302 in white posted earlier is selling me on this idea.
