Title: New leather shift handle
Post by: mcb82gt on August 07, 2010, 10:13:06 PM
My boss at work dad has an upholstery business.  I had them recover a extra handle I got from the yard, it was torn up.

Best of all it was FREE!

Nice looking shifter handle. I'd like to have my pistol grip shifter handle covered....or,I may just buy another handle (leather) and sell mine. I want a really cool handle, but with a little more "factory" look to it.

I never have liked that old gooseneck shifter handle. It just looks odd to me along with the indicator plate that stucks up too high. JMHO though!

Can they do a wrap on a 5 speed ?
I may send mine to you...if they can, how much would it run? :D

Re-wrapping the manual shift  might be of real interest to a lot of people.  The factory TC  was ~$80 vs $15-20 for the Mustang, and evilbay prices are way more than that right now.  Of course, it's located right there in the middle of things, so if it isn't done correctly, everyone can see it.  I always wanted one with different colored stitching and the 'turbo' stitched to match.

I like that Vinn.  What if you just had it powdercoated a shade of black?

Leather would look sick, though.

Very true. As it is,when I get off work and get in the car.I have to use a cloth to hold it so I can shift. It's hot x 100.
