Title: Header Panel question
Post by: Crash225 on August 05, 2010, 07:23:38 PM
I'm finally putting the header panel back on my cat and I have a question concerning these self-tapping bolts and nuts:

When I screw these into the header panel they seem kinda loose and not too secure. As a matter of fact, most of the bolts backed out of the header because the nut wouldn't come off! I thought about using an epoxy to better secure the bolts in the header panel. Has anyone used a better method? If so what did you do?

I used some body panel adhesive I had from another project. JB Weld would probably work.

Thanks Vinnie, I'm going to try and score some of that adhesive at the Advance Auto tonight. Hopefully I'll get this done before the end of summer.

Body panel adhesive is kind of high priced. I'd go with JB Weld and let it dry for 24 hours.Don't get the quick stuff.Get the original JB Weld.

Just make sure that whatever you get adheres to fiberglass..;)
