Got everything I need for the new lines.... Big question today...
I don't have a diagram of where the brake lines run to, and from.
the 87 MC has 3 lines coming out of it. 2 for the proportioning block, and one straight out of the bottom.
Where does the one coming straight out the bottom run to, and where do the left and right lines lead to off the proportioning block. I should have probably wrote down where they went. lol
I thought I could look in the vert, but it has a diff MC setup.
I went and looked at my car, bottom goes to the front driver, Through a gap to the rear of the k-member. front line goes to a portioning valve, Couldn't trace it. back one I could not tell without climbing under the car.
I'm thinking front one is the pass front and the rear is the rear brakes.
I don't remember taking out another proportioning valve.
Do you have anti-lock brakes by chance?
Nope. I'll see if I can get the camera and take a picture for you. My car is just an 87 5.0 thunderbird. Nothing special.
Ok, I got a pic of the lines coming out of the MC. Can anyone verify that the line on the front of the block runs to the pass side front, and the rear runs to the rear brakes?
The one coming out of the bottom of the MC must obviously run to the drivers front brake

Someone here must have re-done their brake lines
The front-most line runs to the rears, http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/~mjbobbitt/mustang/mc/propvalve_gut.jpg
Rear-most is drivers front and middle is passenger front.
according to the diagram and the car pic... they don't exactly match each other, do they
Anyone got a theory on this? the car had all factory lines in it still.
here's another pic from my cougar. Same as the Parts bird

I'm not sure what you mean?
I guess it depends on what the left and right side of the car is... lol
If you are running brand new lines I would take this as a opportunity to change it over to a 2 line master. This way it will be much easier to run a line lock. For the front you run it to a T and then go to each front wheel from there. I ran mine to the front under the radiator so I can pull the cross member without disconnecting the brakes lines. Also I can see no reason they ran a larger line to the rear? So I ran smaller lines everywhere and it works great.
