Post by: im gay as hell on May 02, 2005, 07:34:09 PM
i just installed 3;73, and why is the pinion form the 373 smaller than the stock pinion, and the 373 ring is only thicker than the stock ring

thats how gear ratios are altered

the amount of teeth one one is reduced/enlarged, and the other gears thickness needs to compensate for lost diameter

it helps with those mad tite burnouts yo fo shizzle

if its supposed to make your car feel faster...should be easier...

why do you want to peel out? feel like burning money on tires? its hard to impress people with burnouts these days

Down here in West Virginia, people are doing the "pray for our troops" burnouts.  the burnout looks like the yellow ribbon you may have seen on cars.

you usually find these on an uphill road.  Here is how its done....
push in the clutch,,,, roll backwards,,,, dump the clutch and burn out.  It looks like this but not suggesting anyone go out and try it.

It looks like someone did a reverse burnout then dropped it into drive. Or made one tight ass turn while doing the burnout.

no,,,,,,
go to an uphill road and push in the clutch and stop
you roll backwards to the speed that represents your ball size :giggle:

you dump the cluch and stomp the gas
your cars weight will keep you moving backwards till the rubber finally grabs

I know of a coule of these that appear to be a 100feet long.  Depends on the incline your on.  The steeper the better.
