Title: Headlights
Post by: bigdaddygb on June 14, 2010, 08:53:28 PM
was in the J yard the other day, only saw (1) 87 cougar. then as I was leaving I noticed that the early 90's continental had headlights shaped like ours. so I started searching... hmmm.. our headlights have  FORD 22v 16 H stamped at bottom right, continentals also have Ford 22V 16H also stamped at bottom right.
Just a heads up if you find a cont. with good headlights in a JY you may want to snap them up.. as they can't be bought anywhere either like ours. or at least as far as I have found. If some one knows of a source for new ones please let me know I need them bad.:D

I see a lot of early FWD Continentals in salvage yards with good lamps. This is a benefit of having the Cougar sharing the headlamp housings with the Continental. The Tbird does not share lamps with any other car.

I'm curious as to a town car head lamp....I wonder how much different they are compared to a '87-'88 Tbird lens...
