Title: WOT Switch P/N?
Post by: 88 Blackbird 5.0 on June 14, 2010, 01:02:39 PM
I want to replace the WOT cutout relay on my Sport, but Autozone, Advanced, Pep Boys and O'Reily's, but they say they've never heard of it and can't help me.  I explained what WOT stands for and what the  thing does, but I still get the Deer in the headlights look.  WTF???

Does anyone have a part number for one?

Title: Thanks Soft Touch!
Post by: 88 Blackbird 5.0 on June 14, 2010, 02:39:53 PM
Not only has the compressor on my Sport ped the bed, the WOT and cycling switches are bad too.  When I jumped the clutch on the compressor to see if my bad switches were the only problem with my A/C system, I found out that the coil in the clutch has an internal short.

I already bought a cycling switch this morning.  Now, thanks to you Soft Touch, I also have a new compessor cut out switch that I got from Napa.  I'm still gonna need to find a good compressor, but that shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks again for your help Soft Touch.  I really appreciate it!
