I wish I had more garage space
People down here want absolute top dollar for their junk. I went and looked at an '87 Bird in Augusta, GA that the owner told me was in excellent condition(over the phone). I went and looked at it and the paint was coming off in big sheets, both bumper covers were all scarred, and every fluid that could be leaking was leaking. Oil and trans fluid were both jet black...the blackest of black, the front tires were all chewed up, and when checking the P/S fluid I let out all the factory smoke...lol. Not a drop of fluid.
They were talking about how much money the car was goin to be worth in two more years because it'll be a classic...they wanted $2000...nothing says "no thanks" like a car guy never even asking to hear it run...lol. I thanked them and told them I'd think about it and be in touch with them.
That was a $500 car and they really didn't want to hear it...it's also funny how people think it's a "mustang 5.0"....simply because it says 5.0 on the intake plaque...lol.
I once asked the seller of an early 80s vehicle what proof he had of the mileage ---- which was about 30,000 on a five-digit odometer.
His response was that it read that way on the odometer. I guess he never heard of it rolling over, huh.
