Post by: Kitz Kat on May 30, 2010, 10:47:34 AM
I thought it would of came out darker, oh well it is what it is. Still have to sand and buff it. At least I got all the hail dings out of it.

I like it !!! Nice color. Are you pin striping it? Are you leaving the trim off the side? Inquiring minds want to know.

I have to say, some quality (not bought at Autozone) red pin stripes would really look great.Thin ones. Maybe not blood red,but a mildly deeper shade. I love pin striping cars.Don't know why.

I agree...these cars are meant to have pinstripes.  Its just part of the '80's groove man.

I have metallic black on mine. Those would look good as well on the gray. The metallic is very small, and looks great.I bought a hundred foot roll at the paint and body supply business across time.Great 3M stuff.Way better than parts store stripes.

No molding, maybe a stripe. I will be sanding and buffing the clear today. It's darker in person, when I'm done I'll get better pics with out so much sun on it.

No it was a kustom kolors mix. Pretty close to it though. I thought it would of been darker,at least that's what my intention was.

It's close though. The gray almost looks the same as the gray on mine when the sun hits it.

Looks great, I really like it.  The pinstripe was typically the interior color of the car.

I had red ones on my T-bird before I got it painted. My car is the same color as Kitz Katz's and 50tbrd88's. Replaced them with the silver because I kinda like it better.

Here's a pic with the red ones:(http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b6/Guitarguru4/DSC01154.jpg)

Title: Repaint update.
Post by: Kitz Kat on July 05, 2010, 06:28:08 AM
Some of you know I had an issue sanding and buffing the clear. I screwed up. So redo had to be done, this time it came out darker with more metallic in it, as was intended the first time. Same paint code to. so here is some new pics.
