Now that I have a 2-car garage, I can make some long overdue upgrades to the REX. Problem is, I need a jack. I was planning to buy one from Sears, but the reviews have swayed me to look elsewhere. That coupled with the fact that my last Sears jack didn't last very long either. So now I don't know who to trust.
Anyone know of a reliable $200 - $300 low profile aluminum jack? I guess I can get some ramps in the meantime.
What are you guys using that was purchased new fairly recently?
Thanks!
I have been using my craftsman 3 ton floor jack that I bought back in november. works great :)

all kidding aside my dads business uses those harbor freight alum jacks on the tow trucks and they have had 3 or 4 of them for a few years now with no prob
I bought the 3 ton alum one from harb freight, it was around $150
i think the hf jack i the best thing they sell
I just had my Craftsman 1 1/2 ton floor jack rebuilt. It's been an awesome jack. Oh wait, you said recent, so I guess buying it in 1981 doesn't qualify. lol.
got one too. only because the lift was something like 19" and low profile. No problems in 2 years
This one's not aluminum, but: Arcan from Northern Tool, currently on sale: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200345429_200345429
