Title: Defrost outlets in top of dash cover..
Post by: 87 3.8 CAT on April 28, 2005, 09:49:03 PM
Does anyone know if these had vented covers, or if they were designed to be an eye-sore. I hate the way they look open, but haven't had weather decent enough to go to the junk yard to have a peek to know if mine are just missing. My dash is in great shape, but lacks in the category of looks due to these holes standing out on top.

The holes are normal and not ment to be covered.

My '87 XR7 had no covers but when I replaced the cracked dash with one out of an '88 LS it had a grey trim ring that snapped in place to conceal the cut edge of the opening.  Other than that, the dashes were identical. :canada:

Gues I'll start looking for a trim ring. Better than nothing.
Thanks..
