Waiting for my cowl hood scoop to arrive so I can send the Bird to paint. Trying to get everything together and organized. Had this in the garage, can't remember what it's from but thought I'd throw it out for opinions.
Not sure how I feel about it yet. I know a lot of guys don't like spoilers but with a 3" cowl I thought the back might need something.
Thanks
Not bad , I'm personally not a fan of spoilers on birds, but ultimately your choice :D
I'd vote no. Then again, I have still yet to remove my luggage rack on mine, lol. :D
I think if it was alittle wider it would be perfect.
I'd say no, if not for any other reason that it's too small (narrow) for the car
My vote is no due to it beig way too narrow. If it were wider then I would say "yes".
NO !!!Way to small.Looks liek an after thought.Give it to someone with a tiny car.
No, not wide enough.
Ever try to wash or wax under a spoiler...especially with big hands? LOL
NO. Too small.
I was thinking the same thing... It needs to be wider. Where's that Lime Green Bird that hangs around here... He has the perfect spoiler and painted black. It looks light and airy, especially contrasting in black paint. That spoiler seem to be like the ones that were commonly equipped on 1982-93 generation Firebirds but they were also available as an aftermarket add-on for just about any vehicle. I am funny about spoiler proportions and that is the only one that seems to look right on our Birds and Cats.
Thanks everyone. The search is on for a wider one. I have to agree Watchdevil, that lime green Bird's wing is sized just right.
Here I am folks , I have been real busy trying to get my wifes Matador ready so she can drive this summer to the car shows . thanks for the comps on the bird and its wing . Here is another shot of the wing and my wifes Matador X . I am almost done with the interior , a few more pieces and she will be done . It looks brand new she will be totally thrilled with it .

Dude I like that Matador... I remember those coupes when I was a kid they were new and they caught my eye as different, quirky but not ugly. I see it now and it still looks fresh and different. Hey I am all about anything that stands out against the ordinary new cars we see today that all look alike.
Thanks Watchdevil
The Matador is definately different , and it does stand out . There are not to many of these left and mine was a rust free one that my father in law bought brand new in 74 . He new if he gave it to his daughter that i would restore it better than the factory . It wasnt easy but i am almost done with it .

Boss if your still looking for a spoiler try one off of a late 80's early 90's firebird kinda like whats on my van. I'll see if I can find a pic of my buddies old Cougar to show you what I'm talking about, its near the perfect size.
EDIT - Here you go.

please excuse the hijack,
1 BADBIRD, got a line on a replacement windshield for that body style Mat?
back on topic -
Skip the wing, go with a spoiler. Something that follows the body lines, not any wider/taller than that wing.
Another great shot! I like that color because it works for this car. I assume that is the original color too!
thanks 1 BADBIRD
Thanks Not the original green . it is brighter and has alot more metalic in it .
